Volunteer

Volunteers are our community’s greatest resource and their achievements shine proudly throughout our civic Museum. Thanks to all our great volunteers who support and build our community pride. Over the last two decades, their help has been invaluable and we look forward to working with this group into the future!

If you would like to volunteer and meet new people in a fun and rewarding atmosphere, please consider becoming a volunteer.

Friends of the Museum & Gallery

The Friends volunteer group assist with events, programs, research, promotions and special projects. Their main fundraising activity is the Festival of Wreaths.

The Friends sponsor art exhibitions, special events, exhibit renovations, youth programs, concerts, and much more!

Public Foundation

The Humboldt and District Museum and Gallery Public Foundation is a registered charity with the principal purpose of raising funds for capital projects.

The Foundation is currently raising funds for the re-design of the museum exhibits. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to the Foundation to help with these important community initiatives. Donations to the Foundation are tax deductible and receipts will be issued for any donation of $10 and over.

Water Tower

The Staircase of Honour includes 143 steps that represent the contributions made by various individuals and organizations toward the conservation of the Water Tower. Plaques on the face of each step share the names of those individuals and organizations who made donations of at least $500. Thank you to everyone who purchased a step – all 143 have now been purchased!

Original Humboldt

Be a part of the Original Humboldt site legacy!

The Original Humboldt Committee continues in their efforts to bring the stories of the land to you. Your support of the public programs, replanting of prairie grasses, walking trail developments, and research through archaeology will ensure the accessibility and sustainability of this project. Please contact us to make a tax deductible donation towards this community project.

Please consider making a donation to support this unique site through the Original Humboldt Bench Program. The benches benefit all age groups in providing a resting place along the trails, or a place to sit and reflect on the stories of this significant historic site. Your donation will be identified with an engraved plaque on the bench. Sponsorship of each bench is $500 and an official income tax receipt will be issued. Contact us today as a limited amount of benches are available at this time.

Public Art

The Public Art committee continues to look for new ways to infuse art into the city. Please contact us if you wish to create a work of art, or would like art added to your building or site! If you would like to help support the creation of public art, please click on the Donate button or contact us to make a tax deductible donation towards an upcoming community project.
