Our museum connects all of us to the culture and heritage of the Humboldt area by sharing objects, photographs and stories. As we mark the museum’s 40th anniversary, we invite you to explore how communities can be reflected through museum artifacts, historic events, personal stories and contemporary cultural items. As we look to the next 40 years, imagine what our museum could become and what your Humboldt story could look like here.
We are grateful to Melanie Gray for sharing Indigenous knowledge and perspectives with the Humboldt community, and for creating cultural learning opportunities by allowing us to display her jingle dress regalia.
We are also grateful to Svitlana Vorona and Therese Weber for sharing their cultural family stories with the Humboldt community in this exhibit.
