The Friends Festival Auction Donation Drive

It’s our 25th Anniversary! This annual fundraising auction brings hundreds of people to the Gallery and even more to our online auction platform.
New Name! We are changing the name from “The Festival of Wreaths” to the “Friends Festival Auction” because our generous donors are so creative that the auction has grown beyond the wreaths that started it all 25 years ago.
New Activities! We’ll have a door prize draw every week during the auction, bigger and better raffle prizes, live musical performances from local favourites, and an anniversary party that everyone is invited to on Thursday, November 21st at 7:00 p.m.
Please consider a donation! Join this community event by donating to the Friends Festival Auction. Your generous donation will be on display at the Gallery and on our website from November 14 to December 5, 2024, and be recognized in print and social media throughout the Festival Auction.
So many opportunities! Donations include (but are definitely not limited to): promotional swag, gift certificates, artworks, handcrafted items, quilted items, boozy beverages, gift baskets, wreaths and holiday décor.
Food, Glorious Food! A popular item at the Friends Festival Auction is food! Get creative in the kitchen and put together a sampler of preserves, scrumptious sweets, or a festive meal. For perishable items, a photo and written description will be displayed for bidding, and those items can be dropped off before the auction closes on December 5.
Your support helps the community! The Friends of the Museum and Gallery have big plans for their community sponsorships in 2025. The money raised from this year’s auction will support the presentation of travelling museum exhibits such as “On the Trail of the Monarch Butterfly” from the Canada Museums of Science and Innovation, art programs and exhibits at the Gallery, the concert series that brings touring musical and theatrical performers to our community, and other major Original Humboldt, Public Art and Water Tower projects.
Please bring your donations to the Gallery by Saturday, November 2 to ensure that your items are included in all promotional material.
