April 25 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Dye Another Day: Silk and Wool Dyeing Techniques with Cindy Hoppe
Saturday, April 25th, 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
An outdoor workshop in the Museum parking lot, 602 Main Street

Learn the art of dyeing silk and wool fabrics with fibre artist Cindy Hoppe. Participants will have the chance to experiment with various techniques and create their own unique fabrics.

Cindy Hoppe is an artist whose work is rooted in long observation of the prairie landscape. She has worked as an artist for many years, with a focused practice in fibre art for the past 30 years. Using recycled and dyed wool and silk, she stitches, appliqués, and quilts to “paint” with her sewing machine. Guided by process, material, and an openness to chance, her work transforms humble remnants into layered interpretations of prairie land and lived experience. Her work is on display with Diane LaRouche Ellard’s in Common Ground at the Gallery, 601 Main Street, until April 24th.

Cost: $35/person, $31.50 for Gallery Members

All supplies will be provided. If participants would like to bring their own wool and silk fabrics and/or dye, they are welcome to do so.

This is an outdoor workshop, so please dress to suit the day! If the weather will not allow the workshop to take place, the registration fee will be refunded.
