Community Chalk Art Day!
August 18 @ 10:00 am - 7:00 pm
Have some fun and make Humboldt a more creative and interesting place! On Thursday, August 18 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., join us for Community Chalk Art Day and create your very own piece of chalk art on the sidewalks of Humboldt. The theme for this year is “My Humboldt Story”.
How do I get involved?
Individuals, families, community groups and businesses are all welcome to participate in this free activity.
Businesses can offer to provide the stretch of sidewalk in front of their building and can either decorate it themselves or offer it as a blank canvas for someone else. Just give us a call at the Museum and we will register the location so that the drone pilot knows where to take pictures.
Individuals, families and community groups can register with the Museum as artists and will be given a stretch of sidewalk to decorate. We will have free chalk at the museum available while supplies last.
Volunteers from the Humboldt Fire Department Drone Program will be capturing images of the artworks throughout the day. These images will be shared on our website and on social media.
We will be taking registrations right up until 3 p.m. on August 18. You can find out your assigned location and pick up your chalk ahead of time or on Community Chalk Art Day. To register call the Museum at 306-682-5226 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
This event is weather dependent, so if the weather won’t cooperate we will do our best to reschedule.
