Paramedic Flag
Every year, hundreds of paramedics cycle to Ottawa to raise funds for a national memorial to honour their colleagues who have lost their lives in the line of duty. This flag was tied to a hockey stick attached to one of the lead bicycles and travelled with the paramedics for hundreds of kilometers. It was flown as a tribute to those who lost their lives in the Broncos tragedy and to the many paramedics who came to their aid. It was delivered to Ralph Goodale, MP, on Parliament Hill to be gifted to the community of Humboldt. B-439(a-b)
