Building the Foundation
The Humboldt and District Museum and Gallery Public Foundation is a registered charity with the principal purpose of raising funds for capital projects.
Foundation Projects:
Elevator: Through the donations to the foundation, an elevator was installed in the building in 2002 to provide public access for all visitors.
Photo at right: Mayor Dennis Korte cuts the ribbon held by Museum Board chairperson Alvin Hingley (left) and Foundation chairperson Jack Tuchscherer at the grand opening of the elevator installation in November 2002.
Fire alarm and sprinkler system: The foundation provided the funding for a fire alarm and sprinkler system to help protect this historic site. Funding for the sprinkler system was also provided by the Saskatchewan Heritage Foundation.
