The Humboldt and District Museum and Gallery welcomes everyone to come and enjoy our displays. 


Hours of Operation


September to June: Tuesday to Saturday from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

July and August: Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

*Closed on statutory holidays




Admission is by donation. Your donation will be used to help support programs, exhibits and services.




The Humboldt and District Museum is located at 602 Main Street.

The Humboldt and District Gallery is located at 601 Main Street.

The Original Humboldt Site Access Area is open to the public all year round and is located 8 km west of the city of Humboldt on Highway #5 and 3 km south on “Telegraph Road.”


Accessibility and Parking


The museum and gallery are equipped with wheelchair accessible entrances, washrooms, and elevators to all floors.

Free street parking is available for both buildings.

The Original Humboldt site has an access area available for parking. Please note that a grid road must be taken to visit this site. This site is unattended therefore no washroom facilities are available.

Gift Shop


Browse through our gift shop for that unique Saskatchewan item created by area artisans and authors. We offer a selection of Humboldt souvenirs such as postcards, pins, mugs, ball caps, books, prints, and much more.

Kids can check out items such as pencils, small toys, pinwheels, old-fashioned toys and delicious candy sticks.

In celebration of Humboldt’s centennial in 2005, the museum staff assembled this book which captures the essence of life in Humboldt, Saskatchewan, with 100 captivating stories.


The book reveals many remarkable facts and facets of the lives of Humboldt and area residents from 1878 to 2005.
