If you have something you would like to donate, bring your artifact in to the museum any day that we are open. We will issue you with a receipt and the artifact will be passed on to the Collections Committee for consideration. If they determine that your item would be a good addition to our collection, we will contact you in order to arrange the gift agreement and transfer of ownership. If your artifact is not added to our collection, we will contact you to return the item. We can not dispose of items on your behalf and only items with proper transfer of ownership agreements can be accepted.
If you have an artifact that would assist in telling Humboldt’s story, please consider making a donation to the museum or archive’s collection. The museum and archive have an active collections policy and are happy to consider any item that tells us more about Humboldt.
The museum is documenting every business in Humboldt, whether in business for 10 months or 100 years. If you have owned or operated a Humboldt business, please contact us so we can add your business to our directory.
Do you have photographs of Humboldt or surrounding communities? We have a photographic view of Humboldt’s history that could benefit from your donation. We are specifically looking for more recent photographs from 1940 to present.
